Do Things at Home Without Being Told
- This one is for everybody who lives in a home—not just a trite thing for kids to remember, but a goal for everyone no matter how old or young.
- The challenge: Figure out how your home runs, then try to anticipate the chores before you are asked to do your part.
- Keep an eye on the trash and take it out with out request; anticipate when it’s time to do the dishes and jump in; surprise your parents by asking to do your own laundry. When someone is running a bit late, look for something you can put away or take care of.
- Never try to evade the work; attack it head on.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise).
Ephesians 6:1–2
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 13:34
