Camp Coordinators

  • Plan—what we hope to do and how we hope to accomplish it. The overall plan is the schedule, but every schedule line item may also need some planning. Ways to improve and be creative are figured out in this stage.
  • Prepare—organizing, building, creating the plan, and having it ready for quick use when campers arrive
  • Promote—communicating the benefits and value of your event to the camper, the person paying for it, and the person responsible for putting it on the calendar to the point that each are ready to go.
  • Pull it off—doing the work of camp while campers are here. Eat, sleep, meet, play, consider are each important aspects of pulling it off.
  • Persuade—communicating the truth of God’s Word clearly so that a person is given the privilege of choosing and believing.

Closing Thoughts

  • An individual enjoys some aspects of Program more than others. Which is your favorite/ least favorite?
  • Lose one and all is lost—each are dependent on one another.
  • Timing is critical—any items can’t be started till others are done.
  • Do best what lasts longest!
