Ask, “What Can I Do Next?”

• When you finish a job, find the person who gave you the job and ask, “Can I do anything else?”
• Our tendency is to avoid the boss/parent, especially when they are handing out work.
• Your habit should be to look for your boss/parent as soon as you finish the job you were given.
• Communicating that you have finished a task and are ready and willing for more work means you will eventually be given more responsibility.
