Finish Right

Somewhere in the neighborhood of being 75% finished, the reminder to finish right is helpful for a team. Over time, if you continue to pound on the virtues of finishing right, you may begin to hear your team bring it up as they come to the close of a project. Listed below are a few ideas for reminding your team about the importance of finishing right.

▪ Every athlete is known more for how he finished than how he started. This team will be remembered for how we finish.
▪ Burst or slack off? When coming down the home stretch, do you finish with a burst or do you slow down? The race is won in the home stretch.
▪ Finishing right means that we clean up to the point that we are ready to start again.
▪ Functional is not finished. We must clean up, put away, and have every detail finished before we can say that we finished right.
▪ Let’s finish as a team helping where it is needed until we can all say together, “We finished right!”
