Say “Hi” First

  • Develop the simple habit of choosing to be friendly first.
  • Most interactions and relationships begin with a “hi”—show you are not consumed by your own problems and situations and begin your focus on others with a simple “hi.”
  • With the addition of a smile, a simple question, and an unrushed attitude, you are well on your way to the beginning of a new friendship.
  • Kindness begins by recognizing the presence of another—say “hi” to God often through simple prayers that recognize He is with you all the time.

He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
Matthew 10:40-42
